What we do
School
We have worked with Primary and High schools, from small groups of 30 to big groups of 120 learners. We also worked with children individually from 6 to 18 years old. Our main area of work is in Mitchell’s Plain, however, we have also worked in the areas of Delft and Lansdowne and when capacity allows, we have worked as far as Johannesburg.

AAA APPROACH
The Triple - A Method

Triple-A method (Assess, Analyze and Adapt): This method allows us after we celebrated the child, teach them accountability for their actions through varies mediums (arts and crafts, gardening, anger management, communication skills, asking open-ended questions and varies creative games). It allows us to take them on a journey of finding the solution, not providing one for them and in so, they own it more than something that was forced upon them.

Using the Triple-A method, we work with individuals through process involving two programmes:

This is where we assess the child. We start by listening and then sorting all the responsibilities the child has, or feels they have. We then categorize it and put them their laundry basket, where we teach them how to take care of “their clothes” – as well as take accountability for it.

We explore who you are now – your favourite colour, introduce feelings (the good and the bad as well acceptance of them) and accepting your body (incorporating boundaries for your body, but mind and communication as well).

Our other collaborations

Exposing the world to the different communities within Cape Town, the good, the bad and ugly. Through this we also link up businesses and organizations with each other, building Community Funds in each of these communities.

Assisting in creating Anti-Bullying presentations for larger groups, and assisting with individual sessions with kids.

We work with the Social Crimes department at Lentegeur Police Station. When they are called out to host Gender-Based Violence or Anti-bullying campaigns, we facilitate that process. Children do not take heed of their scare-making tactics, so we come in using a more interactive and creative way, allowing them to get to an understanding.

MITCHELL'S PLAIN COMMUNITY FUND
Our focus is to create 100 Millionaires in our community through our Kit-The-Kidz project. We will be teaching them how to be entrepreneurs from a very young age, as well as how to trade or exchange. Connecting them up to assist the elderly in performing tasks, in exchange for allowance. This money will be split into a savings and bursary portion. The savings, could be used for school clothes, stationery and afterschool programmes, a huge factor why children drop out of school. They will be linked up with successful entrepreneurs to keep them motivated and impart their knowledge.
